She was born on December 6, 1929 in Pawshiwka, Ukraine, and went to her eternal rest on July 28, 2015, in Bellevue, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her loving sons, Oleh Taras (2007) and George Ihor (2008); great-grandmother, Paraska Szwediuk; great-aunt, Julia Jastremska; father, Wasyl Pukyrys; mother, Anna Goszulak; stepfather, Michael Goszulak; brother, Sam Pukyrys. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 68 years (June 6, 1947-2015), Oleksa; sons: Jaroslaw Alexander (wife Julie), Rev. Alexander Myroslav, and Gregory Michael; daughter, Daria Mariana Dottie Pavlis; grandson, Michael A. (wife Erin); granddaughters: Anne Knape (husband Aaron), Lisa M., Cindy L., and Catherine; sister, Evonne Penny of Cheyenne, WY; stepbrother, Michael Goszulak; stepsisters, Daria Blazawskas and Mary Garfield (husband Charles); nieces and nephews; many great and loving friends. VISITATION begins on Friday, July 31st at 4pm at the Vinton Street Chapel, followed by a Panachyda Service at 7pm (officiant, Rev. Ivan A. Krotec of Chicago, IL). FUNERAL SERVICES begin on Saturday, August 1st at 9:30am at the Vinton Street Chapel, followed by FUNERAL LITURGY at Assumption of the B.V.M. Ukrainian Catholic Church, 16th & Martha Streets, at 10am. Interment immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Assumption of the B.V.M.
