Randy P. Flock

Randy P. Flock

April 7, 1961 – January 13, 2024

Randy was born in Omaha, NE on April 7, 1961, to Paul and Sandra Flock. He was the oldest of five brothers. Growing up, Randy earned the prestigious honor of becoming an Eagle Scout.

In 1980, Randy’s daughter, Lisa, was born. A year later he met the love of his life, Cynthia, and became Eric’s dad. His son, Steven, was born in 1985, with Andrew following in 1987. Family was one of the most important things to Randy and he faithfully attended every birthday party, youth game, and family function. He was a grill master and designated meat carver who could be found taking care of business during Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.

Not only to his family but also to his many friends, Randy was just a phone call away and always willing to help. He was there to fix a car, lend a tool, be a shoulder to cry on, or share a beer.

Randy loved fishing, playing pool and watching baseball (especially the Chicago Cubs), but nearest to his heart was Flock Racing. Nearly every summer Saturday night he could be found at Eagle Raceway with a Busch Light, cheering on brothers Ron and Rich.

After his cancer diagnosis in 2023, Randy was determined to fight and throughout his battle, never lost his sense of humor or wit. Even in his final weeks when the moments of clarity were fleeting, he had everyone laughing with a perfectly timed one-liner full of sarcasm. Randy wanted to transition into heaven “in a flash” and got his wish as he peacefully took his final breath the evening of January 12, 2024, in the middle of a blizzard, which allowed his family to spend a few more precious hours with him until January 13, 2024.

Greeting Randy in heaven are brother: Ronald Flock; grandparents: Lester and Dorothy Flock, Alice Crosby. Those remaining with loving memories are parents: Paul and Sandra Flock; the love of his life: Cynthia Flock; children: Lisa (Ron) Tangeman, Eric (Jess) Flock, Steven (Shannon) Flock, Andrew (Jessica) Flock; grandchildren: Haley Heywood, Jett Constance, Tessa Flock, Weston Flock, Wynter Flock; brothers: Russell (Sharon) Flock, Raymond (Tracy) Flock, Richard (Cecelia) Flock; multiple nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
