Ray A. Bothwell

RAY ALLAN BOTHWELL, age 57, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley. Ray was born May 2, 1953 in Little Sioux, Iowa to William and Lovetta (Nuzum) Bothwell. Ray graduated from West Harrison High School, attended Dana College and graduated from Gateway Electronics with his Electronics Degree. He was employed with BCS Cleaning as a maintenance worker. Ray loved his grandchildren, fishing and sports. Survivors include his significant other: Melody Gunderson of Missouri Valley, Iowa and her children Shane and Sarah Gunderson; son: Andrew Bothwell and fiancée Jessica Collison of Pisgah, Iowa; mother: Lovetta Bothwell of Missouri Valley, Iowa; grandchildren: Alyssa and Mariah Bothwell, Brooklynne Preston, Chloe Preston, Shane Gunderson, Justin Gunderson, Kelsie Nelson; sisters: Janis Scott and husband Ron of Mondamin, Iowa; Philis Blazek and husband Dallas of Missouri Valley, Iowa; nieces: Danya Anderson and husband Jeff and son Jared, Shawn Bruening and husband Jeff and sons Garrett, Dallas Jon and daughter Avery, nephew: Shane Blazek, and mans best friend Gizmo. Ray was preceded in death by his father William. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Church immediately following the service.
