Preceded in death by wife, Janet; daughter-in-law, Donna Vadnais; son-in-law, Rodney Baumgart; granddaughter, Maggie Baumgart. Survived by children: Tim Vadnais, Andy (Kathy) Vadnais, Linda (Dennis) Wagman, Laura Baumgart, and Matt Vadnais; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Madeleine McGrath (Bill) and Lorraine Walby (Don); longtime companion, Jennie Anania.
Private Family Services at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Interment: Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Legion Post #1, 7811 Davenport St., Omaha, 68114.

We are so sorry for the loss of Ray. Ray was my birthday twin! He was such a nice man. I always enjoyed our Lake Leba conversations And he was sooo kind to my mom. Rest In Peace Ray!
Ray will be missed. We loved being at the American Legion with Jennie and Ray for dances, good food and great conversation. RIP dear friend.
