Raymond was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, on March 29, 1948, to parents Raymond Robinson Jr. and Ethel Lee Butler, and soon thereafter moved to Houston, Texas, where he spent his childhood.  Raymond graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School with an art scholarship, attended Texas Southern University for a short period, and decided to change his career path and joined the US Air Force in March of 1968.

After being stationed in Alaska, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, Japan, and Okinawa, Raymond retired in Bellevue, Nebraska after 20 years in the US Air Force.

Raymond married Yumiko in Oregon in 1974 – this year being their 50th wedding anniversary.  Daughter Stefanie McKnight was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and daughter Kristina Riviera was born in Okinawa, Japan; both were raised in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Raymond worked for the US Postal Service and completed his working career with Johnson Hardware Company before retiring at age 64.  Music was always around – and singing with Raymond was a must.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and holidays were his favorite!

Raymond is survived by his wife, Yumiko Robinson; daughter, Stefanie McKnight (grandson, Veshaan McKnight, granddaughter, Daeyonna Robinson X, grandson, Sejiro Woods); daughter, Kristina Riviera, spouse, Joseph Riviera (granddaughter, Korrine  Blossom, grandson, Jace Riviera, grandson, Dominik Riviera);  sisters: Mary Lou Armstead, Ethel Robinson, Anita Powell, and Doris Robinson; brother, John Robinson; sister, Tracy Thomas and  spouse, Johnny Thomas; and many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Robinson Jr.; mother, Ethel Lee Robinson; sisters, Pamela Joyce Robinson and Joyce Ann Trottie; brother, Hilry Robinson; sister, Brenda Faye Johnson; and brother, Robert Benjamin Robinson.

We are here to celebrate the blessed and fulfilled life of Raymond Richard Robinson who loved adventure, but also cherished being at home with family.

Psalms 3:3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

In your time of trouble remember God, or Father is the giver of peace. Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, not let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for very challenge.] John 14:27
