Regina C. Otte (Sheridan, Rapier, Hartnett)
August 19, 1959- August 18, 2025
Gina’s earthly journey began on August 19, 1959. As a young child, she readily embraced the faith that was so central in her family. That childlike faith never wavered and was a shining example for all who knew her.
Gina married Pat Rapier, they welcomed five beautiful children into the family. Gina loved her children fiercely, and they knew that they were the center of her life. Later, she brought that same passion and dedication to her grandchildren and her great-grandchild.
After graduating from Creighton University, Gina became a CPA and eventually opened her own business. Later, she would use the knowledge and skills she learned in that endeavor to become a representative for May Kay Cosmetics. That once shy, little girl took all kinds of risks to establish the business which helped many women feel beautiful.
Tim Hartnett came into her life when her children introduced them, and they later married. After just a short time together, Tim went to heaven. Although she was broken-hearted, she continued to build her business and guide her children.
Shortly after Tim’s death, Fred Otte, the gentle giant came into her life. They married, and he and Gina traveled and experienced many things. In 2020, Fred passed on.
Gina’s life was not always easy. She faced physical challenges such as diabetes and later a heart attack. Emotionally, she faced grief with the death of her son and later two of her husbands. In the last part of her life, Gina battled dementia. Through all these difficult times, Gina’s faith that God was always with her was steadfast. She trusted in God always.
On August 18, 2025, Gina moved to her heavenly home where she celebrated her birthday surrounded by her son, dad, and all those who had gone before her.
Gina was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Rapier; father, Tom Sheridan; husbands, Tim Hartnett and Fred Otte; granddaughter, Sevyn Sayre. She is survived by her mother, Mary Clare Sheridan; brothers, Vincent Sheridan and Sean (Mary) Sheridan; sister, Carol Sheridan, Madonna (Ron) Mogul; children: Elizabeth Kamtz, Nicole Rapier, Meagan Rapier, Jacob (Kristin) Rapier; grandchildren: Hailey Kamtz, Kylee Kamtz, Natty Sayre, Lexi Sayre, Delaney Sayre, Serenity Sayre, Lucy Fox, Riley Rapier; great-granddaughter, Dakota-Sky Kamtz Hampton.
She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
May the memories of her bring a smile to your face and a stronger faith in the presence of God in your life each day.
