Rev. Michael G. Printy
June 1, 1928 – June 16, 2021
Father Printy was born in Creighton, Nebraska and graduated from St. Ludger High School in Creighton before enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where he served from 1946 to 1948. His military service complete, he then matriculated at Creighton University and graduated before entering Conception Seminary in Missouri. After his ordination to the priesthood in May of 1957, Father Printy taught at Ryan High School and served as an associate pastor in Omaha for three years. He went on to serve as pastor in many rural parishes in the Omaha Diocese: Lynch, Cedar Rapids, Petersburg, Battle Creek, Schoolcraft, Jackson, and Hubbard.
Father Printy was preceded in death by his parents, Anna (McDermott) Printy and George Printy, DDS, and by his sister, Mary Spinharney. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: Tuesday, June 22nd from 5pm to 7pm at St. Cecilia Cathedral, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Wednesday, June 23rd at 10am, St. Cecilia Cathedral, 701 N. 40th Street. Interment: Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to Siena/Francis House.

Father Printy married us in 1970. He was a very nice man
I am offering Mass for Fr. Printy today (6/18/21) at Via Christe Residence in Omaha, where lived for time in retirement.
Fr. Printy married Jane and myself in 1977 and we’ve never held it against him. Heaven is now a better place. Our heartfelt condolences to the whole family
Fr. Printy married us in l973, what a wonderful priest. He always had a joke and a smile on his face. May God welcome him into heaven with open arms. You will be missed.

Father Mike performed our Wedding Ceremony on Mary 3, 1958, with two other Priests; Fr. Halley, and Fr. Rohrer. God Bless You Father .Mike! .You Really knew how to tie a “wedding knot.” REST IN PEACE!
