HANSEN, Richard H.,”Dick” Oct 18, 1925 – Jan 31, 2014 Age 88, of Omaha; passed away on January 31, 2014 from complications of pneumonia. Dick was the only child of Paul and Vera Hansen. He attended Harrison and Dundee schools and graduated from Benson High School in 1944. A veteran of World War II, Dick served two years in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. In 1950 he graduated from Omaha University, and then was a salesman for U.S. Checkbook Co. from 1950 until his retirement in 1993. Dick was an avid golfer, bowling for 35 years with the same team, and he enjoyed investing in the stock market. Dick is survived by his wife, Dola Hansen; children, Sue Flynn and Jim Hansen, all of Omaha; two grandchildren, Ashley Flynn and Alan Flynn, both of Mission, Kansas. A VISITATION AND CELEBRATION of Dicks life will be held Monday, February 3rd from 4pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Human Society.
