He was preceded in death by his brother, Hank Lind.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; children: Jenny Penton (John), Christian Lind (Brooke), Anna Thomas (Rob); grandchildren: Abby, Taylor, Madeline, Gabe, Isabella, John, Brock, Blayne, Christian Jr., Zoey, Jace, Alissa, Lucy, Poppy; great-grandchildren: Waylon, Wesley and Nina; sisters, Sharon Burton (Ben), Mimi Hubby (Gary); sister-in-law, Beth Lind.
Richard, known as Dick, was the master craftsman behind the well-known business, Dick Lind Builders. He was more than a home builder, he was a passionate artist and leaves a legacy of countless stunning homes sprawled across the Omaha Metro area.
Dick was a deeply loving and doting husband, father and grandfather, known for his sharp wit, contagious sense of humor, uproarious laugh, and overwhelming love for his family. He leaves a hole that can never be filled, but the threads of his work ethic, artistry, boisterous laugh and cutting sense of humor are intertwined within his children and grandchildren, as his legacy lives on.
Funeral: Thursday, July 6, 2023, 10:30AM at Grace Fellowship Church, 1211 S. 211th Street, Elkhorn, Nebraska.
Private Interment
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Christine – I remember the fancy dinner after Voices of Omaha Messiah performance in one of those lovely homes your Dick made. I’ll be praying as the Lord reminds me for your grieving.
Christine- Joe and I are so sorry to hear about Dick’s passing! Your marriage is one to set the standard by! When we lived in NE, my dream was to have a Dick Lind home! Such a legacy in his community. You are in our thoughts and prayers!
Loss of a loved one, grief we feel, the heart keeps the memories while the physical loss begins to heal.
Deepest condolences to the family. We are privileged to live in one of Dck’s last creative and beautiful homes. He will always have a place in our lives and in our community. .

We were so sad to hear of your loss of this wonderful man. He came to us during a time of grief to guide us in building our now beautiful home. He was caring, kind and became a friend. He didn’t just build houses he built Homes. with care and made each one personal. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with your family he talked so often about all of you, God give you strength.
