HEYWOOD, Richard J. Feb 26, 1926 – Mar 17, 2013 Richard J. Heywood of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Scribner, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2013. Born on February 26, 1926, he served in the Korean Conflict and farmed for over 40 years near Scribner before retiring to Omaha. He was preceded in death by parents, Edward Heywood and Ottilene (Haun) Heywood; brothers: Francis, Victor, Casper, Burnell, and Edward; sisters, Doris Hatten and Joan Heywood. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bonita (Bachman) Heywood; sons: Stephen (Marianne), Michael, and Philip (Jan); daughters, Christine Dahl (Jerry) and JoAnna Dobson (J.R.); 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. VISITATION begins Friday, March 22 at 10am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 15353 Pacific, with MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL to follow at 11am at the church. Interment, St. Mary’s Ridgely Cemetery in Scribner, Nebraska.
