Richard L. Staack
October 16, 1965 – April 2, 2025
Richard L Staack, age 59, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2 ,2025. He was born Saturday, October 16, 1965. He graduated from Westside in 1986. He worked at Vicom Pie factory, Offutt Air Force Base, and attended a few different day services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disability. Richard retired from Elite Disability Services in 2023.
Richard loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures; mowing lawns, sorting & recycling, car rides around town, feeding the deer apples and pumpkins at Chalco Park, latch hook rugging, bowling and reading his Atlas (he could tell you how to get anywhere and how long it would take). He occasionally liked taking household items apart. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Survived by: Mother: Karen Staack; Siblings: Aaron & Gladys Staack, Patricia & Timothy Garnett; Niece & nephews: Jacie Hough, Nicholas & Jonathan Garnett; Bonus Mothers: Aimee & Kim Addison; Father: Donald Staack; Pets: Sissy, Sookie, Lucia & Havana.
VISITATION: Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 5:00PM with a VIGIL SERVICE at 6:30PM at the West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Wednesday, April 30th at 11:00AM, Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. 5701 Center Street.

Reading about Richard brought fond memories for me and Phil. He has been a loved member of the family. I had to smile at the statement that he occasionally liked taking household items apart: it doesn’t say that he put them back together! We send our love and strength to all in need…
