Rick was such a great person. Always had a smile and so friendly. I had the opportunity to meet and get to know Rick at ACI where we both worked. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May Rick rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon him.
Rick was a good friend with a kind heart. He always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face. Rest in peace Rick. You will be missed by many.
Rick and my father Khosrow were close friends and worked together for years. Throughout that time, I had the chance to get to know Rick at the occasional Taco Tuesday or ACI family event. He was a kind and generous person and even in the small moments I shared with him he made a lasting impression. My father always spoke very highly of him and our entire family is saddened by his passing. Our deepest condolences.
THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND! The 1960’s in Des Moines, Iowa. I admired Rick. I was proud to call him a friend. He was special to so many people. Everyone liked Rick. Everyone. Rick was there for me in 2009 when my brother Terry passed away unexpectedly. Rick knew I was hurting that day. I was pretty broken up at that point. I was so glad to see him and so honored that he drove to the ceremony. Rick always had such thoughtful advice. So, as he approached me that day, I was anticipating his thoughts. He looked into my eyes, pointed at my stomach, pointed at his stomach, and said: “I see we use the same tailor!” That was all he had to say to get me through that awful day! Growing up in Des Moines in the sixties WAS a wonderful time. I REMEMBER HOW WE WOULD LAUGH AWAY THE HOURS AND THINK ABOUT ALL THE THINGS THAT WE WOULD DO. THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND! WE THOUGHT THAT THEY WOULD NEVER END.
