Rita A Catania, 98-year-old wife, mother and grandmother departed this world to be with the Lord on January 14, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Sebastian “Mickey” Catania, daughter Diane Zych, granddaughter Karen Zych and grandson Kevin Zych.

Rita was a great cook and enjoyed hosting her family on Holidays. She and Mickey were loyal Husker Football fans and frequented home as well as traveling to away games to cheer them on.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Sobczyk (Walter), grandsons: Tim Zych, Andrew Sobczyk (Sara) and Benjamin Sobczyk (Nichole); granddaughter, Marilyn Targos (Rodney); great-grandchildren: Archie, Sophie and Gemma Sobczyk, Corey Targos (Annie), Brandon Zych, Joseph Targos (Sarah) and Matthew Targos; great-great-grandchildren: Jack, Ryker, Cecilia, Mylah and Mark Targos.

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 21, 2023, 11:00 a.m., West Center Chapel. Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
