Rita Mae Moriarty
April 26, 1933 – August 22, 2023
Rita Mae (Yelinek) Moriarty was born on April 26, 1933 to John and Martha Yelinek. She graduated from South High School and began a career in banking. She married John J. Moriarty in 1954 and had three children: John Jay, Thomas Patrick, and Michelle Marie.
After having children, Rita was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and reading. Rita also enjoyed hosting family celebrations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, John; grandson, A.J.; parents, John and Martha; and brother, James Yelinek. She is survived by her children: Tom Moriarty and Michelle (Tim) Cavanaugh; five grandchildren: Allie (Moriarty) MacAdams and Brian Moriarty, Maria, John, and Jillian Rokes; and five great-grandchildren, Max, Lucy, Arlo, and Watson MacAdams, and Maeve Moriarty; many other loving family members and friends.
VISITATION: Friday, September 1st from 10am to 11am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 11802 Pacific, followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11am. Family Interment, Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed by the family.

My condolences to the Moriarty family. Rita was always positive and showed interest in her niece and nephew’s families. May she rest in Peace!
