Robert “Bob” Jensen, age 91, son of Alfred and Marie (Andreasen) Jensen, was born on February 24, 1929 in Omaha.  He passed away on July 25, 2020.  Bob married Jean F. (David) on September 20, 1950.  They were approaching their 70th wedding Anniversary.  They were “the love of each other’s life.  “Bob worked at Sorensen Dairy as a route salesman (milkman), for many years.  Shortly after he was married, he went into the Army and served in Korea, attaining the rank of Corporal.  After serving in the Army, Bob and his two brothers, Jack and Roy, went into business together, owning Jensen Service and Diagnostic Centers.  Later, he became interested in real estate and took courses to become a licensed realtor.  Before he retired, he went into the Dairy Queen business with his son.

Bob had many hobbies including mechanics, boating, water-skiing, swimming, fishing, hunting, racquetball, traveling, and snowmobiling.  Many memories were made at the summer cabin that he and Jean owned for more than 50 years.  He loved entertaining family and friends and teaching people to water ski.  He lived life to its fullest.  He loved the beauty of nature and the outdoors and never forgot to greet us every day with his favorite song, “Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day!”

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marie, who were born in Denmark; brother, Roy and sister-in-law, Carol; and niece, Dawn.  Bob is survived by his wife, Jean; son, Steve (Jane); daughter, Judy Ahrens; grandchildren: Jenny Walker (K.J.), Bobby (Colby), Emily Pachunka (Nick), and Dana Ahrens; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, friends, and 13 family dogs.
