Robert “Bob” Tenner

October 31, 1929 – January 23, 2023

Preceded in death by wife, Gloria Ann Tenner; son, Robert Tenner Jr; daughter-in-law Cil Tenner; sister, Dorothy Tenner; parents, Albert & Inez (Shaughnessy) Tenner.

Survived by children: Sharon Chornyak (George Marton), Jeff Tenner (Carol), Gwen Eureck (Gary), William Tenner (Teresa); stepdaughter, Melissa Cordell (Richard); 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Bob attended Pittsburgh’s Central Catholic High School graduating in 1948. After graduation, he started working in the meat packing industry at Wilson & Company. In 1961 Bob moved to Omaha, Nebraska, to further his career in the meat packing industry joining Omaha Steaks International. He rose to the position of VP in charge of production.

From there, he moved on to other senior-level positions in the industry before starting his own company in Omaha. While the company was successful, things changed, and he moved to other upper-level management positions. In 1995 he finished his career at Skylark Meats.

Bob was active in his retirement, going to hockey games, traveling to see old friends, and spending time with family.

Bob met Gloria Ann Sherlock and then moved to Hot Springs, AR. Bob lived in Hot Springs until Gloria passed away. He moved back to Omaha to be close to family.

Bob was surrounded by family as he peacefully passed away, bringing an end to a long life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Family will receive friends: Saturday, February 18, 2023, 11am-1pm at West Center Chapel.

    My condolences to the whole family from my family to yours. I have many fond memories of you when visiting in Scottsdale,Tucson, Omaha and Arkansas. May perpetual shine upon you and may you rest in peace. 🙏🙏
