Preceded in death by wife, Joann T. (Schultz) Norton; son, Thomas J. Norton. Survived by daughter, Barbara Borgeson of Omaha; sons, Michael Norton of Omaha and Patrick Norton of San Francisco; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 13th from 10am to 11am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, followed by MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL at 11am at the church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery. Memorials will be directed by the family.

Robert Emmett Norton was born on July 13, 1926, in Omaha, Nebraska. Raised in Omaha, Bob graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1944 and immediately entered the U.S. Navy, serving in the South Pacific for two years. He was married to the former Joann Schultz for 50 years. Joann died in July of 2000. Bob was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 36 years before retiring in 1988.
