Robert Gifford Mummert

Robert Gifford Mummert, 56, passed away on July 13, 2024 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on September 12, 1967 in Fort Sam Houston, TX to Dan and Ruby Mummert. He was a US Navy Veteran and a proud American. He was a talented and skilled carpenter and devoted his life to the trade. He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life such as hunting, fishing, camping, listening to country music, riding his motorcycle and being an active member of the German-American Society. He was a loving son, brother, dad, grandpa, uncle, and friend to countless people throughout his lifetime. We may never fully know the positive impact he had on others’ lives, but we celebrate his life and will cherish the many precious memories made with him.
He is survived by one daughter, Brittany Sutton (Dustin Sutton) and four grandchildren William, Nataleigh, Benjamin, and Sophia Sutton; his mother, Ruby Mummert; two sisters Lynda Whited and Lynn Savoy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dan Mummert and his brother Christopher Mummert.
VISITATION: Wednesday July 17, 2024, from 11:00AM -1:00PM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bob at McNeil co. for 15 years. We had little contact in the years due to career paths. I had ran into Bob at events from time to time always having something to talk about,I always considered Bob a good friend Bob was definitely in his element when it came to woodworking craftsmanship.
Bob will be sadly missed.

I’ve known bob for a lot of years from bushwhackers to current. Helluva a carpenter and a helluva person. I’m sorry i was out of town and missed the visitation but he will be dearly missed
