Played football for Iowa, then played on the last football team at Creighton; also played football and baseball at Omaha University. Ran for the Public 
Service Commission in 1988. Preceded in death by wife, Carol. Survived by sons: Dan Young (Pegi), Tim Young (Diana), Matt Young, and Todd Young (Brenda); daughter, Sue Young; grandchildren: Amy Demyterko (Mike), Vince Young, Nick Young (Erin), Kristina Philbin (Joe), Slade Young, and Paige Young; great-grandchildren: Jake, Hope and Faith Demyterko, Isabella Young, Talia Philbin, Joe Philbin, Joe Young, Luke Young, and Jordan Philbin; brother and sister-in-law, Merwyn and Millie Jones.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 27th from 5pm to 7pm, with VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm at the Bel Air Chapel, 12100 W. Center Rd. SERVICES Tuesday, March 28th at 10:30am, Bel Air Chapel. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery with military honors by Benson VFW Post 2503. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association.

Our condolences from the entire Aronson Family. We recall with deep and fond memories of the extraordinary friendship between Bob “R.G” Young and our parents Betty and Jerry. Dad and Bob had been good friends since very early childhood. They are all together again in God’s heaven. Such long and lasting friendships are so rare in this world, we are grateful for our parents having had such a long and endearing friend in Bob Young, a remarkable man among men. Our sincere condolences and much love to the Young family.
