Robert “Bob” Evon, age 65, passed away peacefully at home in the comfort of his loved ones on May 1, 2018.  Born on June 6, 1952, Bob was a native of Omaha and beloved husband, father, and friend.  He lived a faith-filled life helping others, spreading laughter, and always expanding his circle of love. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joann M. Evon; children, Lauren J. Carlin (Brian), Danielle R. Hennelly (Mark), and Hannah E. Evon; grandchildren, Robert and William Carlin; siblings: Dan Evon (Sharon), Nick Evon (Nancy), and Maria Moss (John); sisters-in-law, Flora Evon and Mary Drozda; nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, and others whose lives he touched are invited to remember our Bob and celebrate his spirit on Friday, May 4th and Saturday, May 5th.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th St.  Interment, Calvary Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to Christ the King School.

    I am so heartfelt sorry for your loss. Bob was a beautiful human being and always a comfort to be around. Words now are such a poor vehicle to express the.sorrow you and yours are feeling . Your memories will now carry you thru these difficult times. I will remember you all in my prayers tonight. God bless you and yours and hold you in His presence.

    WE GREW UP AROUND CENTER STREET.BOB HAD THE COOLEST 23 WINDOW VW BUS.OH THE TIMES WE HAD.WASN’T ANY CAR BOB COULDN’T FIX.A MASTER MECHANIC AND A GREAT FRIEND TO ALL.I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HIS SMILE AND HOW MUCH HE MADE US LAUGH.JOURNEY WELL MY GOOD FRIEND.
