SUS, Robert J. “Bob,” Aug 16, 1955 – Mar 22, 2011. Age 55, Omaha; retired Omaha Fire Dept. Captain and Paramedic. Bob died after a 7-month battle with cancer. He was a proud member of the Omaha Fire Dept. for over 20 years, spending most of his time at ‘61’s.’ He was a paramedic and was a Captain at the time of his retirement almost 4 years ago. Bob loved his job as well as the men and women he was proud to work with. He was in the Navy Reserve and was activated and served during Operation Desert Storm as a paramedic in Iraq. His whole life was centered, not around him, but all the others in his life. He found his joy in helping others, no matter what. Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents and aunts.
