Passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. and Fern C (Collins) Howell of Tempe, AZ; son, Steven L Howell of Omaha, NE; wife, Bernice (Buras) Howell of Omaha, NE; wife, Pat (Losole) Howell of Omaha, NE; brother, Dick Howell of Urbandale, IA; sister-in-law, Marlene (Mathisen) Howell.  He is survived by son, Michael Howell (Betty Dudzik) of Papillion, NE; life partner, Shirley Andrews of Omaha, NE; step-daughter, Brooke Deal of Omaha, NE; brother, Jack Howell of Gilbert, AZ; sisters-in-law, Deanna Howell of Urbandale, IA, Lucille Irland of Beaver Lake, NE; grandchildren, Brendon (Krystial) Howell of Hackettstown, NJ and Meghan (Rob) Galloway of Tavares, FL; step-grandson, Cheyenne Deal (Rachelle Mitchell); great-grandsons: Gavin Galloway and Jaxen, Elliott and Kamdyn Howell; nieces, nephews and many extended relatives.  A special thank you to St Croix Hospice for the final days of his journey.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 12:00 noon with MILITARY HONORS at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha and VISITATION beginning at 11:00AM.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
