Robert Lee Lienemann
August 26, 1933 – February 3, 2023
Bob was born on a farm near Randolph, NE on August 26, 1933, to Henry and Minnie Lienemann. He lived on farms south of Randolph until 1951, when his family moved to Norfolk, NE. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1951 and from Norfolk Junior College in 1953. He married Bonnie Asmus on April 27, 1953 (and they were married for almost 61 years).
Bob enlisted in the US Army in July 1953 and served until June 1955. After his Army service, they moved to Lincoln, NE where Bob attended the University of Nebraska and graduated summa cum laude from UNL in June 1957. After graduation, Bob began working for Northern Natural Gas (which eventually became Enron) in Omaha. Bob worked at Northern for 30 years, retiring in 1987.
Bob and Bonnie raised their three children, Cindy, Susan, and Keith in Omaha. Bob loved to travel and explore new places. He accomplished this with his family on vacations across the US in a camper. He and Bonnie traveled extensively internationally after their family was raised.
He loved to golf and did this regularly until his early 80s. He liked fishing, boating, and water skiing, and for several years he enjoyed snowmobiling with the family. Bob rented cabins on an Arkansas lake every summer for 20 years so his children and grandchildren could vacation together, enjoying boating and water skiing. Bob also loved playing cards and was a phenomenal player because of his incredible memory.
Bob did quite a bit of volunteer work – working on committees at his church, visiting residents at a nursing home, delivering Meals on Wheels, and preparing tax returns for widowed friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie Lienemann, his wife Bonnie, his son Keith, and his sister Helen.
Bob is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Ron Evans, daughter, Susan Gomez, and daughter-in-law, Judie Lienemann; grandchildren: Kelly and Jason Gomez, Ryan (Sara), Jordan and Brandon Evans, Michael, Lauren, and Nicole Lienemann; and 5 great-grandchildren: Sophia, Garrett, and Matthew Evans, and Emalyn and Everly Gomez, and his sister Joyce.

Sending hugs and prayers to Sue and the whole family. He was an amazing man that I know will be missed.
Oh, so many wonderful memories of time spent with our families together. These will be forever etched in my heart! I remember one time your dad wanted to go fishing after church but no one could go with him so I volunteered. It was a fun afternoon and memory! Hugs and prayers are being sent your way.
Wonderful couple we got to know through Lutheran Church of the Master.
We enjoyed time with both your parents. They are missed.
Our thoughts and prayers to the family. Charles and Doris Karloff
