Robert Louis Johnson Jr. passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, in Omaha, Nebraska. Robert was born November 4, 1944, to Robert and Kathleen Johnson in Beaumont, Texas.  As a young man, Robert’s love for his country led him to join the United States Army. Robert spent his time in the service stationed in Korea during the Vietnam war.

Following his time in the Army, Robert moved to Omaha where he started his family and began a new career. He found work cleaning airplanes at Eppley Air Field and transitioned to ground services for Republic Airlines. He continued working for multiple airlines until finally retiring from Northwest in 2003.

In his free time, Robert loved collecting vintage cars and meeting other car enthusiasts through the many car clubs he was associated with. Throughout his lifetime he came to cherish the number of mustangs he owned over the years the most. His love of mustangs was matched by his love of animals, specifically the many dogs he doted on throughout his life.

Robert is preceded in death by father, Robert Johnson Sr.; mother, Kathleen Higley. Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret (Marge) Johnson; sons, David (Colette) Johnson and James (Jessica) Johnson; stepson, Ken McKay; step-daughter, Kelly Morris (Jim); grandchildren: Ruby, Jack, Jensen, Erin; great-granddaughter, Kynlee.

Sorry to hear of Bob’s death. He was a very loving guy. And easy to get along with and I’m sure he had a lot of great friends.
