What a kind and gentle soul. Bob was my first cousin once removed on my paternal grandmother’s side. The Cordes family. We enjoyed Bob’s company every time we visited Schuyler and the cabin in Rogers, NE. The J Robert Peltz family including Mom Jane, brothers Rob, Steve, Rick, and Dave all have wonderful memories of our summers in Nebraska on the Platte River. Bob and his Mom, Freda, would always come up and visit with us. He would tell us stories of his travels and adventures, the food he got to experience, his collections and readings. Bob kept in touch with all his cousins through the mid-year cousins letters and we always shared Christmas letters including updates on the family. When my Dad, J Robert Peltz, passed in 2016 Bob sent such a loving letter to Mom that touched all our hearts. We will all miss Bob; I and my brothers send our condolences to his friends and family!

We were Bob’s classmates at Westside High School.Class of 1955. We renewed our friendship when we returned to Omaha in 1975. We enjoyed occasional dinners with Bob at Farmer Brown’s restaurant, and we often joined him in the annual festivities at the German American Society in Omaha. Bob always had a humorous story to tell or a memory to share. We will miss him..
We always enjoyed Bob’s stories and sense of humor.
He had such a tremendous recall of events etc.
He was a highlight at the Cordes reunions.
