VISITATION: Tuesday, July 16th from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the West Center Chapel, followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 6:30pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Wednesday, July 17th at 10:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6905 Blondo.  GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Wednesday, July 17th at 3:30pm at Omaha National Cemetery.

Robert Patrick Schaffart, beloved husband of Maureen, devoted father and cherished grandfather, passed away on July 10, 2024, in his hometown of Omaha, NE. He was born on May 5, 1962, in Omaha, NE.

Robert was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed coffee, smoking, spending time with his family, conversations, reminiscing, expressing his creativity through drawing, collecting treasures and though he enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting he found solace and contentment in the comfort of his home.

One of Robert’s definitive traits was his personality. In his interactions with others, Robert’s humor and lightheartedness were contagious. He brought smiles to faces and laughter to hearts. His quick wit and anecdotes always had a way of brightening up any room. His unique spirit and kindness will be remembered with warmth and love.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Maureen and their children Tony, April, Jeff; grandchildren: Brookelyn, Talia, Kalaila, Robby, and Alivianah. He also leaves behind his brother and sisters, Ann Oneil, Steve Schaffart and Karie Eckley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Schaffart; mother, Delores Schaffart; sister, Mary Schrader; brother-in-law, Paul Prendergast; sister-in-law, Margret Prendergast; nephew, Christopher Prendergast; niece, Geneva Prendergast; and many aunts and uncles.

Above all, Robert’s family held a special place in his heart, and he was always there for them, offering unwavering support and love.

Robert Patrick Schaffart will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warm presence and kind words will forever be cherished in their hearts. May he rest in peace.
