Robert Hansen age 79, of Mondamin, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at his home. Robert was born December 21, 1936 in Missouri Valley, Iowa to Albert and Lola (Olinger) Hansen. Robert graduated from the Modale High School. He married Joan Thomas June 17, 1962 in Mondamin, Iowa. Robert farmed and worked for Cyclone Fence Company in Crescent, Iowa for twenty years and also owned and operated the Hansen Service Station in Mondamin. Robert served in the United States Army. He enjoyed computers, and mechanics.. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Shelley. Survivors include his wife: Joan Hansen of Mondamin, Iowa, children: Donald R. Hansen and wife Melody of Haslet, Texas, Jacque Charbonneau and husband Craig of Logan, Iowa, Bill Hansen and wife Jennifer of Pisgah, Iowa, Rob Hansen of Omaha, Nebraska, ten grandchildren two great grandchildren, sister: Gwen Brown of New Bern North Carolina, brother: Norwood Hansen of Rapid City, South Dakota. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #378. Final Resting Place will be in the Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, Iowa.
