Bobbie grew up in Chicago and remembered her time there fondly. She moved to Omaha in 1964 when she was 22 and married Roger a few years later. She loved dancing with friends while watching him and his band play. She spent a lot of time at Mockingbird lanes both as the snack bar manager and as an avid bowler in the Monday night league with Roger and many of their friends.
Every summer her and Roger would take their family and join friends for two weeks at Dead Lake in Minnesota. She loved to catch crappies, call to the loons, and spend time with the whole gang each night in the porch. In the summers you could always find her tanning in the pool and reminding everyone to not get her hair wet. In the fall, you would never catch her without her Husker red on Saturdays – she loved Nebraska football, in the good times and the bad.
Bobbie was everybody’s friend. She would find someone she knows or make a new friend wherever she went – the grocery store, the casino, craft shows – she just loved connecting with people. She had many jobs throughout her life, but her favorite titles were Grandma and Gigi. She was happiest when spending time with all the littles in her life.
She was loving, kind, generous, feisty, stubborn, funny, and so many other things. But most importantly, she was so, so loved.

Our thoughts and prayers for all. Bobbie was such a a wonderful fun person to be around. My kids so enjoyed her when she babysat them and all the hours at Mockingbird Lanes. She always loved to feed and play with them. Bruce spent many hours working with her there. Our sympathy for your loss of such a wonderful person.
Sorry to hear this. 😢 I worked with Bobbie at Mockingbird Lanes and she would join me with my in-laws at LaVista Keno. Great person! 💕
