LONG, Roberta E. Jan 23, 1921 Jan 14, 2014 Roberta Long was born in Omaha to Nan and Elmer Carson, who came from Sweden as children. They had six children, two of whom died in early childhood. Roberta married Richard A. Long on October 6, 1943. Both were lifelong residents of Omaha. They had two sonsCharles, who lives in Omaha, and Robert, who lives in Austin, Texas. Roberta taught pre-school and worked with very young children in Sunday School and Bible School for years. She played the piano, sang in choirs, and loved listening to music, reading, and gardening. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Clifford Carson; sisters: Verna Carson, Lucille C. Sorensen, Evelyn D. Carson, and Marian W. Libby. She is survived by her sons, several relatives, and beloved friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 25th from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the West Center Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICE Sunday, January 26th at 2:30pm at Northwest Hills United Church of Christ, 9334 Fort St. Memorials are suggested to Northwest Hills United Church of Christ.
