Over the November 10th weekend, Rodney Peter Cyr, 68, passed away due to complications resulting from diabetes. Rod was born in Milwaukee, WI on January 21, 1953, to Leo and Audrey Cyr. He spent most of his life in Omaha, NE where he worked as a biological materials technician and later as a taxi cab driver. He loved sports, board games, and making people laugh. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Audrey. He is survived by his son, Matt (Elyse); two grandchildren, Grace (5), and Emet (3); brothers: Daryl (Shirley), Keith (Sharon), Ray, Gord, Kyle, Lee (Mary), Curt, Phil (Katie), Jeff (Stacie); sisters: Jill (Joe) Stoffel, Mel (Dan) Costello, Michelle Cyr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 17, at Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Funeral home (7805 W. Center Rd, 68124) from 6:00-7:00 pm with vigil to follow.

Service will be held Saturday, November 18, at Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Funeral home (7805 W. Center Rd, 68124) at 4:00 pm.
