Ronald C. “Dinger” Redding
July 31, 1949 – February 10, 2019
After a long struggle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer, Ron Redding passed peacefully at his home. Preceded in death by his father, Gerald C. Redding. Survived by his wife, Jan and daughters: Wendy Redding and Sabrina (Zach) Weiss; stepdaughters, Michele Kennedy (Eric) and Kristi (Darrel) Vos; grandchildren: Cooper and Mackenzie Weiss, Kylee (Robert) Montgomery, Jade and D.J. Vos, Claire (Sean), Pat, Jess and Josh Kennedy; mother, Lois Redding; brother, John (Caryn) Redding; sisters: Diane Drickey, Cindy (Steve) Redfern, and Kathy Radachi (Mike); and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 14th from 5pm to 7pm at the West Center Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, Feb 15th at 10:30am at the West Center Chapel. Interment: Evergreen Memorial Park with military honors by Benson VFW Post 2503. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to Buffett Cancer Center; Hope Lodge of Nebraska; or Springfield, Nebraska Fire Department.

Very sorry for your loss. Came down with the flu and cannot attend services. Out of all my parents friends, Ron was always one of my favorites. Always laughing and joking and smiling. Even when I saw him a few months back. I know he will be truly missed by many.

I just heard of Ron’s passing, over a year later. So sorry for your loss, he was a hell of a man and will be sorely missed.
