Ron, it was always a pleasure working with you over the years.
May you rest in peace
I worked with Ron on several different assignments over the years. I have never met a more level headed and poised officer over the course of my 27 years on O.P.D. He will be missed by all that had the honor of knowing and working with him.

Ron you were a great guy, always had so much respect for you. RIP
Ron was one of my instructors in the Omaha Police Academy in 1977..
Knowledgeable and with an easy going style.
Just a terrific guy. So sorry he’s gone.
I wish to express deepest sympathy on the loss of Ron. He was a great person and I will remember him family in my prayers.
Ron was one of my academy instructors. You always knew he cared about you, your ability to do the job and your safety.
Sorry for your loss. Michele Bang
Ron was one of my training officers when I came through the old 5th floor academy downtown. I admired and respected him from the start. He and Mike Gordon were quite a pair. Rest in peace good sir. v/r
There was never a better trainer of police officers ever made. I can still remember that a highlight of showing up early in the morning for in-class recruit training was always getting to experience the Goodrich and Gordon displays of enthusiasm for policing. You will be missed Sir! Thank you!!!
First met Ron when he instructed our academy class – good, solid, stand-up guy! Got to know him better during annual canoe/camping trips that a group of us took down the Niobrara River. Great guy. My condolences to his family.
I had the honor of knowing Ron through my many years of friendship with his son, Aaron. I never knew Ron to be anything other than kind, patient, and understanding. I and our other friends were always welcome in the Goodrich home, and I will always be grateful for the many invitations to a home cooked dinner thanks to Ron and Duffi’s generosity. Rest in peace, Mr. Goodrich.
