Ronald Lee Fletcher
October 21, 1947 – September 15, 2024
Ronald Lee Fletcher went home to be with the Lord on September 15, 2024. Ron was born in Omaha, NE, on October 21, 1947, to Darlene and Laurel Fletcher. Ron graduated from Bennington High School and attended Wayne State College. He worked as an accountant at Western Electric, but soon started his own honey bee business, Fletcher Farms, which he enjoyed operating for the rest of his life. Ron had bee operations in Texas, North Dakota, and California. Ron’s favorite pastime however was being with his children and grandchildren to create memories full of lots of fun and boisterous laughter!
Ron was married for 15 years to Barbara Jean Klebe and they had two children, Brenda Leigh and Justin Jon. He later married Betty Jean Peterson from Baytown, TX. They were also married for 15 years.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Laurel and Darlene Fletcher; and his brother, Curtis Allan Fletcher. He is survived by his brother, Bill (Sharon) Fletcher, sister, Vicki Hahn (Siegfried); his children, Brenda Leigh Olson (Rusty) and Justin Jon Fletcher (Jessi); and six wonderful grandchildren: Nathan, Austin, and Emily Fletcher, Madison, Ava, and Sam Olson.
Ron passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He lost his battle with dementia but won his battle to be with his Lord and Savior. He was eager for that day!
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday October 21, 2024, 11;00AM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Samaritan’s Purse

Sending my prayers for you and hope that each day will be filled with memories of Ron and his amazing love for you.
Because Larry and I care, our hearts grieve for you at this sad time, but also rejoice for God’s faithfulness and for Ron’s victory in Christ. It is so hard to lose a sweet and kind brother like Ron. I will always remember his big smile and his chuckle when we spoke. Jesus must have been so delighted to greet Ron in His heavenly home with “Welcome my son and faithful servant.”
Ron and I were in the same class in Washington grade school. I had lost track of him but every once in a while wondered where he was and what he might be doing. I remember that as a kid he got to be pretty good at pitching a baseball.
My condolences to Vicki and Bill.
I had lost track of Ron after graduating eighth grade at Washington school. We were
Oh the fun we have had with Ron through the years. Always playing tricks on each other. When you did the “Flying Dutchman” with Ron…you really did fly!! Oh the volleyball games at his folks place ! So many fun memories. Heaven got a fun one! Hugs, Dan and Connie
So many fun memories of Ron…playing tricks on Ron, flying when doing the “Flying Dutchman”, volleyball, snow skiing, driving Ron’s truck and not knowing where the windshield wipers where …so much. I think I had the last dance with him at Legion. Will miss him, but heaven gained a fun person ♥️

Ron, our dear neighbor here in North Dakota. What a pleasure it was each bee & honey season when Ron would arrive. We truly learned so much from him, not only about honeybee farming but also pertaining to faith & compassion. Ron will always be part of our community & church congregation.
Now. may Ron’s hives be filled with honey, his bees happy & content. Love & caring to his family
