Ronald Paul Vaccaro

Ronald Paul Vaccaro, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri Northland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in Liberty, Missouri.

Ronald was born on May 25, 1938, in Omaha, Nebraska to Joe and Eva (Slack) Vaccaro.  He graduated from Central High School in Omaha.   He worked as a jockeys’ agent, insurance agent, construction worker, brick layer, and was considered a jack-of-all-trades.  He met Rita Swayze and the two were married at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church in Omaha.  Together they raised four children:  Ronald, Debra, Peter, and Paul.  Ron loved watching Nebraska football and going hunting, especially for duck and geese.  He enjoyed sweets of all kinds.  After Rita’s passing, Ronald moved to Kansas City to live with his son, Paul.  After being in Kanas City, he became a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rita; brother, Joe Vaccaro; sister, Jovine Graham.  He is survived by his children: Ronald Reisen, Debra Phelps and husband, Sheridan, Peter Vaccaro and wife, Kimberly, and Paul Vaccaro and partner, Jerome Marshall; grandchildren: Zachary Phelps, Samantha Phelps, Regan Vaccaro, and Jacob Vaccaro.

Celebration of Life Gathering: Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10:00AM – 11:00AM with a Memorial Service at 11:00AM at Heafey-Hoffmann-Dworak-Cutler, West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, Omaha, Ne 68124. 

Private Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
