Ronald R. Evans, D.C.
December 18, 1946 – June 6, 2023
Ronald R. Evans was born to Ralph and Dorothy (Judah) Evans on December 18, 1946, in Omaha, Nebraska. He spent his early life in Omaha where he enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on cars with family and friends. Ron excelled in academics and graduated from Benson High School in 1964. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska Omaha where he received his Bachelor of Science and later completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He remained active in the practice until the time of his death.
Ron’s life was characterized by a servant attitude as he served his family, patients, and country. He spent six years serving the United States of America in the Marine Reserves during the Vietnam War. Ron passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 76 years.
Ron was a proud family man and worked tirelessly to provide for them. His favorite patient would later become his wife. Ron and Deborah were married for 42 years. They shared a life centered around their faith in Jesus and their beautiful family. He looked forward to visits with his four children and watching his twelve grandchildren in their activities. He led his family with a servant attitude and was willing to lend a hand to fix any broken appliance or vehicle. Ron treasured spending time with his sons and grandsons at the car races. He liked watching all sports but was particularly fond of football season. In the evenings you could find Ron enjoying a sweet treat and taking a leisurely walk with his dog.
Ron applied his servant attitude, kindness, and love of science to his profession. He was proud to provide holistic care and treated every patient with compassion. Throughout his 45-year career, he touched thousands of patients as he worked as an associate doctor and consultant across Nebraska and Iowa. One professional achievement was owning his own practice in Des Moines, Iowa from 1981-1992. He will be missed by his patients and colleagues.
Above all, Ron was a servant of Jesus Christ. His life was characterized by love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He shared this faith with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Because of this deep faith, we have peace in our suffering and hope for the future.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Dorothy Evans, and his brother, Donald Evans. Surviving family members include: loving wife, Deborah Evans; children: Heidi (Brian) Beert, Carrie Allison, Christopher (Elisa) Evans, and Jeffery (Andrea) Evans; grandchildren: Haley, Gunnar and Kiersta Beert, Gretchen and Gavin Grace, Anthony, Benjamin, Noah and Mateo Evans, and Dietrich, Scarlett and Conrad Evans; siblings, Sue Evans and Ted (Vicki) Myers; many nieces, nephews, friends, and patients.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be left in Ron’s name. The family will direct funds to local churches and nonprofit organizations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Dr Evans was our family chiropractor for years… we all loved him and followed him wherever he practiced. A kinder, more gentle person the world has never known. And he was a brilliant practitioner of medicine and healing. He will be missed.
Thinking of you Deb and all the family of Ron. May you be blessed with healing and God’s Peace during this difficult time. ✝️

Jeff, we are so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. We both know how much it hurts to lose a beloved parent. He is surely in the presence of Jesus, and what a blessing for him!
