Roni Lynn Epperson
April 11, 1952 – March 5, 2021
Roni Lynn Epperson of Atlantic, Iowa, formerly of Griswold, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska reunited with her beloved son, Erik Epperson, in heaven on March 5, 2021. Roni was a widow of Larry Epperson, who joined their son in 2009. Roni leaves behind her husband, David Wheatley; daughters: Angel Epperson (Bob Mlnarchik), Jill LeBaron, Gina (Jessy) Epperson, Da’Jai and Da’chon; her son, Guy (Nicole) Epperson. Roni was loved by her fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Roni was known for her Girl Scout Leadership and as a local Retail business owner. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Atlantic, IA. As an avid Husker fan, Roni was often sporting her team colors regardless of her Iowa address. She was known for being the loudest voice in the bleachers for all of her kids’ and grandkids’ performances. Roni never met a stranger, made friends everywhere she went, and to know her was to be loved by her. The love for her family was not constrained by blood, but a matter of the heart.
Those wishing to celebrate Roni’s life can do so by joining her family for a visitation from 5-7pm on Wednesday, March 10th at Heafey Hoffman Dworak Cutler Funeral Home, 7805 W Center Drive, Omaha, NE. Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 11th at 11am.
