May 27, 1926 – November 23, 2022

Rosario “Ross” Alfredo Pisci passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 23, 2022, at the age of 96.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean; father, Salvatore “Sam”; mother, Eloisa Litteria; brothers: John, Joseph and Anthony.

Ross was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from Omaha South High School, Ross entered the U.S. Marine Corps where he bravely fought in both World War II and the Korean War.

Ross and Jean were married on May 20, 1950 and they celebrated 64 wonderful years together until her passing in 2014.  They spent their lives traveling, dancing, cooking and creating precious memories with their ever-growing family.

As a gifted craftsman, Ross built his home with his own hands. After over 20 years of service including Building Inspector, he retired as Chief Plans Examiner from the City of Omaha. He maintained many lasting friendships in the community. Ross was a founding member of St. Thomas More Parish as well as a board member for the American Italian Heritage Society.

Ross served his country with honor and his family with kindness and love. His giant heart helped nurture three generations that have treasured their special time with him.

Those left to cherish Ross’ memory include his three children: Michelle (Lenny), Michael (Del) and Kathy; seven grandchildren: Brian, Sean (Tara), Rochelle (Travis), Kyle, Jaime (Jon), Kelsey (Ben), and Kory (Rachel); eight great-grandchildren: Ross, Preston, Jack, Naiña, Joey, Josh, Blake and Theo.
