She had two older brothers, LeRoy, who preceded her in death, and James of Grinnell, IA. She graduated from Wauwatosa West High School in Wauwatosa, WI in 1964. Ann received her BA in education and speech pathology from Wichita State University in 1967 and married the love of her life, Ken Trinkle, on June 17, 1967. She began her professional career teaching special education at the Institute of Logopedics in Wichita, KS and served as a speech pathologist for the Butler County (KS) Schools. They moved to St. Louis, MO, where she taught and completed her MA. Their son, Jeff, was born in 1972 and daughter, Susan, was born in 1975. She served as principal at Avery and Central Elementary Schools in Bellevue and later became the director of assessment and accreditation until her retirement in 2006. In retirement she enjoyed her wonderful husband, children (Jeff and Kristi, Susan and Steve), grandchildren (Lexie, Eoin, and Aoife, Brady and Justin), mother and friends. She was grateful to her family, friends, prayer groups and church for their love and support. Her life was filled with love, joy and gratitude for knowing a good and gracious God who cared for her and who was good—all the time. Family will receive friends Friday, July 17 from 5-7pm at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, July 18, 10:30am, at First Presbyterian Church, 1220 Bellevue Blvd South.
