Rosemary Therese (Rivera) Orin, age 80, born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Antonio and Antonia Rivera on September 26, 1940, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2021.  A graduate of Notre Dame Academy, she married Robert E. Orin on April 18, 1959, at Sacred Heart Church in Omaha, NE.  They spent 44 wonderful years together until his untimely passing in May 2003.

She worked part-time for Mangelsen’s due to her passion for crafts and crocheting and considered them her 2nd family.  She was a member of the St. Columbkille’s Rosary Club which met on Wednesdays and no matter where she was, be it home or traveling, you would always find her making rosaries to be sent to the missions across the world.  She loved spending time at church with women of the group and catching up on the latest and greatest news.  She had many dear friends and Avon customers that she had met throughout the years.

Rosemary is survived by daughter, Bobbie (Mike) Kelly of McHenry, IL and their children Michelle and Michael Kelly both of Beloit, WI; son, Christopher (Heather) Orin, and their three daughters: Bergenn (Grant) Hedrick, Madison Orin, and Paris Orin (Victor) along with two great-grandchildren, Lee and Leighton Hedrick, all residing in Oregon; daughter, Angela Orin (Mark Moats) and their son, Adam Moats, of La Vista, NE; son, Kevin Orin (Tammy Schmitt-fiancée) of Elkhorn, WI and their children: Samantha (Zach) Schnabl of Temple, TX, Tiffany Orin (Jordan-fiancé) of Smyrna, TN, Diamond Orin and Joseph Orin of Elkhorn, WI.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Tony Rivera, Maryann (Ruben) Barajas, Loretta Redding, Lucy Rivera, Leonard (Mary) Rivera, and Cathy Hollingsworth; and many, many cousins.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Antonia Rivera; brother, Raymond Rivera; and her husband, Robert E. Orin.

Family will receive friends Friday, October 8th from 5pm to 7pm at West Center Chapel followed by VIGIL SERVICE at 7pm.  MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:  Saturday, October 9th at 10am at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 200 E. 6th Street, Papillion, NE.  Interment: Holy Sepulchre.  Memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV.org) or Nebraska Humane Society.

    I am blessed to have known Rosemary for the last couple of years. I met her through the rosary makers club. This year will not be the same without her. Yesterday was not the same without her sitting across from me.. My prayers and sincere condolences go out to all her family & friends.
