Funeral: Monday March 24 at 11am at West Center Chapel with visitation starting at 10am. Interment: Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
Roy was a proud member of the United States Air Force and served time with his close friend, Richard Wolfe, who he stayed connected with over all these years.
He enjoyed his hobbies of putting together models and Legos and keeping busy building and creating airplanes and ships. He was always working on a new project and enjoyed the challenge of creating something. He always had his favorite chocolate candies and cookies next to him, while working on his projects.
He also loved photography and was always the one behind the scenes, capturing photos or videos of everyone’s milestones. We have so many boxes of videos and photos that have accumulated over his 80+ years.
Roy never enjoyed being the center of attention; but he did love a good pool party and cookout. To honor his wishes, we will hold a Celebration of Life party later this Summer to honor and celebrate him.
Roy is now at peace and reunited with his beloved daughter Sandy and his loving wife, Sara.

Roy will be greatly missed! I will miss sitting and talking with him about his ancestry research or his time in the military. He always had something to say that would make me laugh whether that was being the “bank” for his Air Force buddies to cross the border to play poker, to his childhood of wanting an electric guitar, to all the places he wished he would’ve gone to. He loved his family so much even when Max was being a weirdo!! 😄 We miss you Roy and will love you forever!

My deepest condolences and sympathy for the families loss of a really great guy. Together in the Air Force we spent so many fun times both working on B52s and off & on base. He was a treasured friend and the memories are many. “Droopy” was his nickname but not his attitude or warmth to others. I’ll miss our phone calls & “BS” talks. GOD bless you, Roy !!
I just saw of your passing. You were a great boss and someone I considered my mentor for many years! Rest in peace my friend!
