Ruby Holloway

Ruby Holloway

August 9, 1952 – December 15, 2021

Ruby Holloway was born August 9, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Tech High where she was in many leadership roles and also a part of the class reunion committee which she had the honor of planning and attending in the past few years.

After high school she went on to become a Chef, which we all benefited greatly from.  Ruby loved her job at  the Air Force Base where everyone treated her kids like their own, but the title she enjoyed the most was being a mother.  Her  kids were her world! Ruby was all about family. She thrived off being able to help  her family in any capacity that she could.

Even with a very strong personality she managed to spread love and care for everyone.  Ruby loved God and testified every chance she got to exalt Him and express that without Him nothing is possible. There’s an extraction from the Scriptures that she declared daily which seemed as if she had created it herself, “Look to the hills from which my helps comes and my help cometh from the LORD.” Psalm 121.1.

Preceded in death by both parents, Fancie C. Holloway and Mary Elizabeth Holloway; grandmother, Hannah (Nannie) Webb.  Survived by sisters and brothers: Rosemarie Hoard, Ravine Allen, Fanchie Holloway, Jr. (Teresa), Darlene Brown (Gregory), Victrene Holloway, Debra Holloway, George Holloway (Jescika), Walter Holloway, and Mary Holloway; children, Robert (Joeanna), Reneasha, and Rontae (Taynice); grandchildren: Derreasha, Neko (Tam) Antiana, Ter’Quize, Robert, Tyriss, Tae-Dale,Trinity and lmani; great-grandchildren: Dereon, Allerah, Nala, Amari,  and Quentin; host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family.

We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
