Ruby LaVonne Sigler age 75, of Little Sioux, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Longview Care Center in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Ruby was born October 31, 1938 in Little Sioux, Iowa to Bert and Viola (Davenport) Armstrong. She graduated from Mondamin high school in 1956. She married Bernard Sigler June 30, 1956 in Logan, Iowa. They farmed in Harrison County for many years. Bernard passed away September 29, 1994. Ruby worked as a CMA at Longview Care Center for 33 years. She enjoyed gardening, farming, crocheting, going to the casino, jigsaw puzzles, and cooking for her family. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband; Bernard, parents, brother; Lester, Kenneth, Walter, sister Lela and daughter; Kitty in 2006. Survivors include her children; Butch and wife Connie of Mondamin, Iowa, Tim of Little Sioux, Iowa, Bonnie and husband Norman of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sisters; Rosie Tedford of Pisgah, Iowa, Patsy Beck and husband Ronnie of Logan, Iowa, Mary Hanner of Onawa, Iowa, brothers; Ronnie Armstrong and wife Joyce of Whiting, Iowa, Keith Armstrong and wife April of Little Sioux, Iowa, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa.
