Russ was one of my favorite people, from way back in the early 70’s, when they first moved to Omaha after his stint in the Navy. Absolute integrity, loyalty, and a very brilliant man, with a wonderful family. He will be missed by us, his family, and his huge network of wonderful people around the nation and around the world. Russ was a caring and sweet man, who always had a good word to say about anyone he knew past or present. He always showed interest and asked many questions as well as being a great photographer and was always willing to share his expertise. Our family met he and Jane when they moved into our neighborhood in 2002, and we kept in touch each time we passed through the Omaha area after we moved. We will miss his smile and quick wit!

We have many, many fond memories of Russ over the years. As a Navy officer, he served our country with honor and integrity while upholding the great traditions of that service. He always had kind words for those around him. Russ was a wonderful husband to Jane and father to LeeAnn and Douglas. He was a strong force in guiding his children in the proper direction. And what an accomplished photographer and sailor he was. His photos were just great and Russ loved his sailboats and was skilled in handling them. He was a pioneer and successful executive the banking industry. We will miss you Russell Brown. You have elevated all of our lives. God’s Speed.
