Ruth Ellen Lathrop
September 28, 1945 – October 20, 2018
Age 73. Preceded in death by parents, Wesley and Maude Lathrop; grandnephew, Zachary Webb. Survived by sister, Barb Falconer (Tom); nieces and nephews: Don Falconer (Bobbi), Christine Falconer, Kimberly Falconer, Patricia Webb, Austin Falconer, Teri Suput (Ted), and Nicole Webb; many friends and family.
Ruth was a lifetime member of VFW Post 247, where she served as President, Chaplain, and JR Girls Leader. She was the VFW representative to the VA Hospital, and Department of Nebraska Chairman of Youth Activities. Ruth taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for 43 years at Pella Lutheran Church, where she served on the Church Council.
A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held on Friday, Nov. 9th from 3pm to 5pm at the West Center Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Project Harmony, or St. Joseph Villa.
