She worked at Ryerson Steel in the addressograph department in Chicago. Ruth and George lived across the Midwest and lived in Yankton, SD for over 30 years. They moved to Las Cruces, New Mexicio in 1997 and lived there until George Baumgartner’s passing in 2012.

Those left to mourn Ruth’s passing and celebrate her life include a son, Walter Baumgartner and wife, Delvonna of Omaha; daughter, Carolyn Dibos and husband, Wayne of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter, Louise Spiering and husband, Ray of Wahoo, Nebraska. She will be missed by her grandchildren: William Dibos (wife, Amanda), Jill and Laura Baumgartner, Allyson, Joel, Michael, and Melynda Spiering; great-granddaughter, Pepper Elizabeth Dibos; sister, Carol Niebergall and husband, Bill of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. I have been calling Ruth and to no avail. Even sent Wally & DeVonne an email. Now I looked up obituaries and find Ruth”s there. My husband, Lloyd has also died over a year ago and I’m living in independent living in Johnston, IA, suburb of Des Moines, IA. I express my love and sympathy to all the family. So many years of friendship!! May God give you His peace as He has given to me ~ Lovingly ~ Myrna Weiland
