Ruth M. Dailey

DAILEY-Ruth Marie Changstrom Empson. Born April 23, 1919 in Omaha, Nebraska, Graduate of Central High, Undergraduate degree from Omaha University. Master’s degree in Psychology from University of Nebraska at Omaha. Worked on her Doctorate in Psychology from University of Nebraska. Ruth worked as a probation officer in the County Juvenile Court system and was a school psychologist for the Omaha Public Schools and the Fergus Falls, Minnesota Public Schools. She retired and moved to Englewood, Florida. During her retirement years, she was a very active artist with many of her works winning awards in local art shows. She was the daughter of John and Frances Changstrom and was the mother to three sons; Holmes, living in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Jon with his wife Cindy, living in Omaha, Nebraska; and Dan with his wife Liz, living in Destin, Florida. She has seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her husband Holmes Empson passed away in 1962 and her second husband Henry passed away in 1993. Ruth was loved by everyone that knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Memorials should be sent to either the Englewood Art Center or the Venice Art Center where Ruth experienced years of enjoyment.
