Ruth Price Garrison
May 1, 1938- October 10, 2024
Ruth Louise Schroll was born on May 1, 1938, at a farm near Mason City, Nebraska, to Albin and Helen (Lewandowski) Schroll. She had one brother, John (Carolyn) Schroll. The family moved to a farm near Litchfield, Nebraska, where Ruth graduated from high school. She attended Grand Island Business College for one year. On September 8, 1956, she married Larry Bennett. Together they had five children: David (Patti), Jane (Chuck) Ploughman, Bob (Debbie), Tim (Anna), and Jerry (Mary) Price.
They later divorced and Ruth married Dean Price on June 4, 1981. She became stepmother to the Price boys: Randy (Barb), Terry (Deb), Greg, Ron and Gary (Lisa). Dean preceded Ruth in death on February 14, 2008.
Ruth then married Dave Garrison on October 4, 2010. She welcomed three stepchildren: Theresa (Tom) Jacobson, Andrew (Courtney), and Sue (Chad) Spencer.
She loved her blended family and was blessed with 25 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed walking, dancing, gardening, and spending time with her extended family. She was an active member at St. Patrick Catholic Church and a member of the Omaha Walking Club. Ruth worked at Commercial Federal Bank, and retired from US West in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dave Bennett; stepson, Randy Price; and step -granddaughter, Judith Price.
VIGIL SERVICE: Sunday, October 13, 2024, 6:00PM at West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, with VISITATION from 4:00-6:00PM
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:30AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church,20500 West Maple Road, Elkhorn, NE
INTERMENT: Hillcrest Cemetery
