July 8, 1949 – March 3, 2024

Our beloved Nana, Ruthann Jewell, unexpectedly passed away in Omaha, Nebraska on March 3rd, 2024.

Loved beyond measure, she lived a full life focused on family. For Nana, everyone from Phoenix to Lincoln was family. Those who were lucky enough to meet Ruthann quickly realized she was their Nana too.

74 memorable years following her birth in Canton, Ohio, Ruthann leaves behind her brother; Mike (LaNeta) Rodsteen; niece, Robyn (Pat) Sharp; children: Todd (Becky) Christner and Paula (Carl) Whittle; grandchildren: Ansel Whittle, Montana (Jesse) Rall, Austin Christner, Megan Christner, Landon Christner, Kennedy Christner; great-grandchildren: Ryker, Winslow, & Jagger Rall.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Jewell; mother, Ruth Jewell; brother, Tom Jewell; sisters, Darlene Muth, Irma Rodsteen; nephew, Michael Rodsteen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8th, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Augustana Lutheran Church, 3647 Lafayette Ave, Omaha.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday March 8th, at Augustana Lutheran Church.

Memorials can be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society.
