I am sorry to hear of the passing of Sam’s father. I am thinking of Sam and his family and praying for peace and comfort. If SAY, III was anything like SAY, IV, we are today missing a very good man.

I went all through Sunday school & M.Y.F. at the Edenton Street Church with Sammy Yancey; he & his family came into town from Fuquay Springs for church. After seeing reminiscences of him on the Kids of Edenton Street F.B. page, I was distressed to learn only recently of our loss. I remember Grace and Pat as well, besides Rusty & Becky & David. Sammy was a great friend to all, always cheerful & friendly to everyone. He was a real blessing and to be long remembered and missed. —John.
