Sandra Katherine (Jaeger) Mauro, “Sandie”, age 71, passed away on Monday March 9, 2020, at University Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She was born October 6, 1948, in Omaha, NE to Jack and Rose Jaeger.
Sandie was a 1966 graduate of Mercy High School. She married John C Mauro on August 17, 1968, in Omaha, NE. She owned her own business as a Tax Consultant/Bookkeeper for 35 years. She retired in 2008.
Sandie is survived by her husband, John Mauro; two daughters, Tiffany Boren “Tif” (Raymond “Ray”) and Kimberly Mauro “Kim” (Robert Borgaila “Bob”); one granddaughter, Katherine Davis “Katie” (Christian); one grandson, Raymond Jacob Boren “RJ”; one great-grandson, Owen Davis; one sister, Pamela Ryan “Pam” (Dennis); one aunt Nicolina Bonacci “Nicki” and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sandie was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Rose Jaeger and many family members and several friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 13th from 5pm to 7pm, at the West Center Chapel. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Saturday, March 14th, 11:30am, West Center Chapel. For those that are familiar with Sandie, she loved the color purple. So, in her honor and spirit, please wear purple. In lieu of flowers and to honor Sandie’s chosen charities, memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society or the Josie Harper Hospice House.

My condolences to the family. I got to know her through buying appliances at Nebraska Furniture Mart. She was a very loyal customer and nothing pleased me more than hearing her voice on the end of my phone . She had quite the laugh. I will miss you dear friend. Fly free.
